Over the past four years, our clients have lovingly restored their five-storey home in Mile End, East London. Once divided into flats and showing signs of heavy wear, the house had lost much of its original charm beneath partition walls and makeshift kitchens.
Together, we reimagined every room, nook, and hallway—carrying out a complete refurbishment that updated both the structure and finishes, while carefully preserving the building’s character. The internal layout was reconfigured to improve flow and functionality, adapting each level to suit the needs of modern family life.
A defining feature of this home is its expressive use of colour. The clients chose to paint the entire interior using 22 carefully selected shades by Pickleson, giving each space a distinct identity and breathing energy back into the house. We meticulously prepared every surface before completing the full paint finish to ensure a clean, high-quality result.
In collaboration with Fabrica Architecture, we constructed a double-storey rear extension, bringing in an abundance of natural light with high-spec glazing and expanding the ground floor living space. We also converted the attic into a fully functional new floor level, with structural reinforcement, insulation upgrades, and a full fit-out.
We carried out a full electrical rewire, installing new systems in compliance with current regulations. All plumbing systems were renewed across the house, supporting multiple bathrooms. We also installed a zone-controlled electric underfloor heating system, bringing modern thermal comfort to every level.
This project is more than a renovation—it’s a revival. The result is a warm, vibrant home that invites slow living: a place for cooking long dinners, lounging with the dog, and enjoying every beautifully restored detail.
